Deciding to take a cycle ride to places mentioned in the blog to see what further memories were stirred up. I decided to see if I had any belongings that were form the times mentioned that could feature in the photos. Looking in organised shoe boxes kept under the bed I came across my Personal Survival Level 2 Badge along with all my swimming badges and medals that I was awarded at primary school. I also opened the box with all the medals and trophies that I have received since then to this day including 5 a side football trophies, basketball trophies and medals and medals for volunteering. The most recent medal a Gold medal from the Cologne Gay Games having played there with my basketball team the London Cruisers. It made me think about movement and the weight and restriction they would put upon me if I tried to wear and carry them all. I then found my 'The Arts Project' Southbank Centre membership card from circa 1992. It made me think of why we keep things - their purpose in the boxes. I have kept things over the years because I felt they would be useful; inspire me; important to me in the future; because I wanted to share them with others; help me remember. I felt the connection between past, present and future very clearly today. INSPIRATION was definitely a good value to start Project 7 with.
