I enjoyed discussing about expectations and responsibility, Emma's balloon theory in relation to what a writer does to create their piece is like filling a balloon up and creating its shape and then before handing it on to director/actors involves deflating the balloon for them to blow up again in their own form.
Talking about tension between seeking excellence and that being both a motivator and as well as possibly being debilitating. The desire for reaching milestones, receiving awards, the burst of adrenaline and then how it can quickly disappear.
Asking questions like 'Is achieving excellence ever enough?', 'Can we have a subjective relationship with excellence?' Does it get in the way?
I chose Excellence as the next value as it felt that it had a very direct relationship to Determination. I look forward to thoughts, comments and further responses to the value of 'Excellence'.
